WHAT IS MAGNESIUM L-THREONATE

In 2010, researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) made a groundbreaking discovery with magnesium L-threonate. This lab-created compound binds magnesium ions to L-threonate ions, a metabolite of vitamin C, through a process called chelation.

Unlike common magnesium supplements, magnesium threonate is highly bioavailable and can cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) more effectively. This barrier tightly controls what enters the brain, and magnesium threonate has the special ability to increase brain magnesium levels, enhancing cognitive function and overall brain health.

Several science-backed studies support this breakthrough and highlight the essential role of magnesium for human health.
